A Nation of Wind is a cross between an arena shooter and real time strategy. The primary objective is to establish and defend your colonies by airship in a world full of floating islands and wonderfully bizarre monsters. There are various upgradable units that produce a number of resources to help you blast away foes. But your ship is not only capable of destruction by conventional means – there are also different schools of magic to defeat enemies.

Overall, A Nation of Wind is quite an innovative and game with rich fantasy elements and in-depth game play. Aesthetically, the graphics have an awesome retro look and there’s a pretty neat soundtrack to boot. And the most impressive part? It was all created entirely by one man – freelance video game artist, Jameson Wilkins. You can find out more information or download it (for free!) at http://nationofwind.tumblr.com/.
